At the core of my research interests is understanding what contributes to vulnerability and resilience in aging at the biological level. I am particularly interested in what behavioral and psychosocial factors may act as a modifier of aging in various contexts. One area of active investigation is examining the role of cancer treatments in aging trajectories, the role of aging biology in the etiology of the late effects of cancer treatment (e.g, frailty and cognitive decline), and the interactive relationship with behavioral factors such as chronic stress, anxiety, discrimination, sleep disturbances and depression.
