I am a clinician-scientist and health services researcher whose research applies an interdisciplinary lens to measuring and improving musculoskeletal care processes and outcomes at the intersection of orthopaedics and rehabilitation. I am currently an Assistant Professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, with a joint appointment in the Department of Population Health Science & Policy and Department of Orthopaedic Surgery as well as a member of the Institute for Health Care Delivery Science. My methodological interests span a broad spectrum of approaches, including patient-centered outcomes research, mixed methods designs, and implementation science. As an occupational therapist, I have a particular interest in care solutions for adults with complex functional and psychosocial needs. One line of my research uses existing data (e.g., administrative claims) to characterize variation in care processes and outcomes across orthopaedic populations and care settings. A second line of inquiry focuses on the implementation and use of patient-reported outcome measures to amplify patient perspectives in a learning health system.
