My primary research interests involve the psychosocial adjustment to illness among older adults, especially in the context of multimorbidity. I am especially interested in how the compounding of difficulties that come with multimorbidity and aging affect isolated and underserved populations. My long-term research interests involve identifying mechanisms of poor adjustment to chronic illness among older adults, with the goal of developing interventions aimed at preventing and ameliorating negative outcomes such as late-life depression.
