As a geriatrician and epidemiologist, Dr. Thomas Gill has directed his research towards understanding the processes underlying the development of functional decline and disability in older persons and towards developing preventive strategies to forestall the onset and progression of disability among those who are most vulnerable. Dr. Gill is Professor of Medicine, Epidemiology, and Investigative Medicine and the Humana Foundation Professor of Geriatric Medicine at Yale University, where he also serves as director of the Program on Aging and Claude D. Pepper Older Americans Independence Center.
